Frequently Asked Questions
Top FAQs
Our programs fall into three broad families: • Active & Adventure Travel — trekking, hiking, cycling tours, and multi-sport itineraries. • Experiential & Creative Trips — pottery-making retreats, photography walks and workshops, culinary trails, art immersion weekends, and other hands-on creative escapes. • Fitness Programs — group fitness memberships, personal training packages, studio classes, and online coaching, often paired with wellness travel. Many of our trips blend all three — you might spend a morning on the trail and an evening learning block-printing from a local artisan.
Our programs are designed for curious, active adults of all fitness levels. Every listing clearly states the physical grading (Easy, Moderate, Challenging, or Expert) and any prerequisites. If you are unsure whether a program suits you, reach out to us before booking — our team will give you an honest assessment and suggest alternatives if needed.
Both! Most of our signature trips run as small groups (typically 8–20 participants) to keep the experience intimate. We also design fully customised solo or private trips for individuals, couples, and families. Solo travellers are very welcome on group departures and are paired with same-gender roommates unless a single supplement is purchased.
Yes. We run corporate retreats, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) programs, and group team-building experiences that combine travel with creative or fitness activities. Corporate bookings are governed by a separate Service Contract. Write to us at [dchadha@Salorilife.com] to discuss your requirements.
You can book in three ways: (1) online via our website [www.Salorilife.com] by selecting a program and completing the registration form; (2) by calling or WhatsApp-ing our team at [+91-9667568328; or (3) by visiting our office at Orris Carnation Residency, Tower D2, Flat No. 401, Sector 85, Sikanderpur, Badha 109, Gurgaon, Haryana 122004. A booking is confirmed only once the required deposit or full payment is received and we have sent you a written confirmation.
The minimum age to book independently is 18 years. Participants under 18 are welcome on family-specific programs with a parent or guardian present, who must sign the booking form on their behalf. Some adventure and high-altitude programs have their own minimum age requirements, which are stated on the trip page.

Absolutely. If you would like us to design a trip exclusively for you, your family, or a private group, please contact our Travel Advisors. A non-refundable Holiday Design Fee (HDF) is applicable for customised holiday planning. This fee is adjusted against the total booking amount if the holiday is confirmed within the stipulated period. Our advisors will walk you through the process.
Each group departure has a minimum enrollment requirement (stated on the trip page, typically 6–10 participants). If the minimum is not met by a specified date before departure, we reserve the right to cancel the trip and issue a full refund within 10 working days. We will notify you at least 7 days before departure if this situation arises, giving you time to rebook onto another date or program.
Yes. If you are travelling with a friend or partner and wish to share accommodation, please note this during booking. We will do our best to accommodate the request, subject to room configuration availability. Solo travellers are assigned same-gender roommates; single supplements are available on most programs at an additional cost.
Once your booking is confirmed and full payment is received, you will receive a detailed pre-departure pack within 15 working days (or at least 3 days before departure for last-minute bookings). This pack includes your itinerary, meeting point details, packing list, emergency contacts, and any activity-specific instructions.
For most programs, a registration deposit (typically 20–30% of the program price) is required to secure your spot. The balance is due [45–60] days before departure. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking. Exact deposit amounts are specified on each program page.
We accept bank transfer (NEFT/RTGS/IMPS), UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, any UPI ID), credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), demand draft, and cheque. EMI options may be available through select banking partners; these are governed by the respective bank’s terms. We do not accept cash for bookings.
All prices displayed on our website and in our communications are exclusive of GST unless explicitly stated otherwise. Applicable GST will be added at the time of invoicing as per prevailing government regulations. Your tax invoice will reflect the breakup clearly.
Yes, for select programs we offer an instalment payment plan. Details and eligibility are mentioned on the program page. If an EMI facility through a banking partner is used, any charges (interest, processing fee) are at the bank’s discretion. In the event of a cancellation, Salori Life will process the applicable refund to the bank after deducting cancellation charges.
Typically included: accommodation on twin-sharing basis as specified, listed meals (as per meal plan), transfers and transportation during the program, instructor or guide fees, activity equipment for the listed experience (e.g., pottery tools, trekking poles on supported treks, photography guidance), and any entry fees or workshop fees stated in the itinerary. Typically excluded: airfare and train tickets to and from the starting point (unless stated), visa fees, personal travel insurance, tips and gratuities, personal expenses, optional add-on activities, and anything not specifically mentioned as included.
We offer early-bird pricing on select departures (book by a specified date and save). Group discounts may apply for private bookings of 8 or more participants. Returning Salori Life travelers and loyalty members may be eligible for preferential rates. Check the program page or speak to our team for current offers. We do not negotiate pricing for group departures.
Cancellation charges are based on how far in advance you cancel from the departure date. Our full Cancellation & Refund Policy is available on our website. As a general guide: More than 60 days before departure: loss of deposit only. • 46-60 days before departure : 30% of total program cost • 31–45 days before departure: 50% of total program cost. • 16-30 days before departure : 60% of total cost • 6–15 days before departure: 75% of total program cost. • Less than 6 days before departure or no-show: 100% of program cost. Cancellation charges for flight and train components are per the respective carrier’s policy and are in addition to the above.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to contact@Salorilife.com with your booking reference number. The date of receipt of the written cancellation request is the date we use to calculate applicable charges. Verbal cancellations are not accepted.
Applicable refunds are processed within 10 working days of written cancellation confirmation. All refunds are made in Indian Rupees via NEFT or RTGS to the bank account registered with us. We do not issue cash refunds. If your original payment was made by credit card, the refund will be credited to the same card, subject to your bank’s processing timeline.
Yes, subject to availability and our approval, you may transfer your booking to another eligible participant up to [21] days before departure. A transfer fee may apply. The new participant must complete our booking form and health declaration. Transfers are not permitted after this window.
Yes. Amendments are possible subject to availability. An amendment fee may apply, along with any cost difference between the original and revised program. Please contact your Salori Life advisor as soon as you know you need to make a change. Amendments within [15] days of departure are treated as cancellation and re-booking.
If we cancel a trip due to insufficient enrollment, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control, you will receive a 100% refund of the amount paid to us within 10 working days. We will notify you as soon as possible and offer alternative dates or programs where available. We are not responsible for any travel expenses (such as flight tickets or accommodation booked independently) incurred as a result of a trip cancellation.
Yes. In the event of cancellation or significant alteration due to events beyond our reasonable control — such as natural disasters, government travel restrictions, pandemics, or civil unrest — we will work to offer a full credit toward a future Salori Life program, a rebooking on an alternative date, or a partial refund net of unrecoverable costs. Full details are in our Terms & Conditions.
For domestic programs within India, please carry: a valid photo ID (Aadhaar card is mandatory; PAN card, driving licence, or passport are also acceptable), your booking confirmation, and any health/fitness declarations submitted at the time of registration.
For international programs you will need: a machine-readable passport valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond your return date, a valid visa for all countries on the itinerary (including transit countries), a copy of your travel insurance policy, and your Salori Life booking confirmation. PAN card may be required for foreign exchange and TCS documentation.
We provide guidance and assist with documentation for visa applications where possible. However, the decision to grant a visa rests entirely with the relevant embassy or consulate, and Salori Life bears no responsibility for visa refusals. If your visa is rejected, our Cancellation & Refund Policy will apply. Please inform us of your visa status immediately so we can advise on next steps.
Please inform your Salori Life advisor at the time of booking. Depending on the validity and type of visa you hold, you may be eligible for a partial reduction in the tour price on account of the saved visa processing component. We will verify the suitability of your existing visa against the tour itinerary.
Yes. If a minor (under 18 years) is accompanying you on an international tour, parental/guardian NOC (No Objection Certificate) is required for visa application purposes. The minor’s visa must be applied for together with the accompanying adult. Please speak to your advisor well in advance as some consulates have strict requirements for minors travelling without both parents.
Our experiential trips are designed to connect you with local culture, craft, and environment. Depending on the program, activities can include: • Pottery-making and clay workshops with local artisans. • Photography walks and guided shoots in heritage districts, landscapes, and markets — led by professional photographers. • Trekking and trail walks at varying difficulty levels. • Culinary trails, cooking classes, and regional food tours. • Art immersion weekends (block printing, weaving, natural dyeing). • Wildlife and nature-based activities (bird watching, forest trails). • Yoga, meditation, and mindful movement sessions integrated into the travel itinerary. Each trip page specifies exactly which activities are included and which are optional or at an additional cost.
For most experiential programs, no prior experience is required — our workshops are designed for beginners and curious learners alike. Trekking and adventure programs specify fitness prerequisites and prior experience requirements on the listing. Photography trips are open to all levels, from smartphone photographers to DSLR enthusiasts. If you have a question about a specific program, our team is happy to advise.
Basic equipment and materials for listed activities are included in the program price (e.g., clay and tools at pottery workshops, trekking poles on supported treks). You may bring your own camera, lens, or photography accessories for photography programs; we will always indicate what is provided and what to bring in the pre-departure information pack.
Yes, participation in any activity is voluntary. You may opt out of any listed activity after informing your trip leader, but no refund or credit is given for skipped sessions or experiences. For your safety, please do not attempt activities you are not confident about and always let your trip leader know.
Our photography programs cater to all levels — from phone-camera beginners to working professionals. Advanced or professional photographers often find our destination selection and access to unique local settings particularly valuable. If you are at an advanced level and have specific requirements, speak to our team before booking so we can match you to the right program.
All our trekking programs are graded (Easy, Moderate, Challenging, or Expert) and the grade is prominently displayed on the trip page along with a description of the terrain, daily walking distance, and altitude gain. We strongly recommend that you honestly assess your fitness level before booking, and that you complete some preparation walks in the weeks before departure. For high-altitude treks (above 3,500m), prior high-altitude experience is strongly preferred and may be mandatory.
Safety is our first priority. Our trek leaders and activity instructors are trained and certified for their respective disciplines. On trekking programs, first-aid kits are carried on trail; we maintain contact with local emergency services; and altitude protocols (including acclimatisation days) are built into itineraries where required. Participants must complete a health declaration before joining a high-exertion program.
Accommodation varies by program and is described in detail on each trip page. Options include boutique hotels, heritage homestays, eco-lodges, tented camps, and retreat centres — selected to complement the character of the destination and the program. All accommodation is on a twin-sharing basis unless a single supplement is purchased. Hotel star ratings are indicative and standards can vary by region and country.
We take note of all preferences and pass them on to the property, but room type, floor, and view requests cannot be guaranteed and are subject to hotel availability at check-in. If a listed property is unavailable, we reserve the right to substitute with an equivalent-category property.
The meal plan for each trip is specified on the program page (breakfast only, half-board — breakfast and dinner — or full board — all three meals). Lunches on trek or activity days are typically packed lunches unless otherwise stated. Meals at independent stops, en-route snacks, beverages, and any meals outside the itinerary are at your own expense.
We make every effort to accommodate dietary preferences including vegetarian, vegan, Jain, gluten-free, and religious dietary needs. However, in remote or rural destinations, options may be limited and cannot be guaranteed. Please inform us of your dietary requirements at the time of booking so we can advise on suitability and make best-effort arrangements.
We strongly recommend travel insurance for all programs and it is mandatory for international trips. A suitable policy should cover medical emergencies and hospitalisation, emergency evacuation (especially for trekking and adventure programs), trip cancellation or curtailment, loss of baggage and personal belongings, and personal liability. We will ask you to provide your insurance policy details before departure. If you choose to travel without insurance despite our recommendation, you acknowledge in writing that you accept the associated financial risks.
We can assist you in purchasing a travel insurance policy through our partner insurers at an additional cost. For international group tours, overseas travel insurance is included in the program price for guests below [59] years of age; participants above [59] years or with specific medical histories may need to pay a premium supplement or purchase a senior-specific policy. Please speak to your advisor for details.
Coverage for adventure activities (trekking above certain altitudes, zip-lining, rock climbing, etc.) varies significantly between insurance providers and policies. Some activities may be classified as high-risk and require an additional rider. We recommend you verify with your insurer that your chosen activities on the Salori Life itinerary are specifically covered before you travel.
A doctor or medically trained staff member is not permanently assigned to group tours. However, our trip leaders carry comprehensive first-aid kits, are trained in basic first aid and emergency response, and are in contact with local hospitals and emergency services at all destinations. Participants with known medical conditions are encouraged to carry their own medication and a medical summary. For high-altitude treks, a wilderness first-aid trained leader is always assigned.
In any medical emergency, alert your trip leader immediately. The leader will coordinate with local emergency services, hospitals, and your insurer’s emergency assistance line. We maintain a 24×7 emergency contact line for all guests on active programs: +91-9667568328. If you are travelling independently between programs, please keep your insurer’s emergency helpline number handy.
A detailed, program-specific packing list is included in your pre-departure information pack. General essentials include: comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate layered clothing, a personal first-aid kit with any prescription medications, a reusable water bottle, a power bank, and valid photo ID. For photography trips, bring your preferred camera gear. For pottery workshops, wear clothes you don’t mind getting clay on!
Every Salori Life group program is led by a trained and experienced trip leader or tour manager. They are your on-trip point of contact for all logistical, safety, and activity-related matters. Their decisions regarding safety, scheduling, and operational matters are final. They have the authority to modify the itinerary if circumstances demand it (weather, safety, local conditions), without this constituting a breach of contract or entitlement to a refund.
Yes! We offer post-program extension stays at many destinations. These are arranged at an additional cost and must be confirmed at the time of booking or at least [21] days before the program end date. Any independent travel arrangements you make for your extension are entirely your responsibility.
If you wish to join the group at the first destination rather than travelling from our designated departure city, or if you need to leave before the program’s final destination, you may do so as an ex-destination or J/L guest. An ex-destination price applies. You are responsible for your own travel to the joining point and from the leaving point. Unused services are non-refundable.
If you need to leave a trip before it concludes, please inform your trip leader as soon as possible. No refund is provided for unused services from the point of early departure. Any onward travel arrangements are at your own expense. If your early departure is due to a medical emergency, please contact your travel insurer immediately as your policy may cover unrecoverable trip costs.
Where shopping stops are included in the itinerary, these are optional and at your discretion. Salori Life takes no responsibility for the quality, price, authenticity, or customs-compliance of any goods purchased. Ensure you are aware of customs limits and import restrictions before making purchases on international tours.
Yes! Salori Life gift vouchers are available for purchase and make a wonderful present for any occasion. They can be applied against any program or fitness membership. Gift vouchers are valid for [12 months] from date of issue, are non-transferable once issued in a recipient’s name, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be used in conjunction with other promotional offers unless stated. Lost or expired vouchers cannot be replaced or revalidated.
Yes. We provide a system-generated Leave Travel Certificate upon request for programs completed with us. Please inform your advisor at the time of booking if you require an LTC so we can ensure the necessary documentation is maintained. LTC is issued based on confirmed booking records. We are not responsible for your employer’s decision on LTC eligibility or reimbursement.
We are building a loyalty program for our returning community. In the meantime, returning guests are eligible for preferential early access to new program launches and select loyalty discounts. Ask your advisor about current returning-guest benefits at the time of booking.
